How we do it
Before the day, we’ll ask about the type of piano, steps or stairs at both properties, and doorway widths. That tells us how many movers are needed to do it safely.
A piano can be moved on its own, or as part of a full house move.
The main risks with pianos are the weight shifting on stairs and knocks to the case. We protect the piano with padding, plan the route through the house, and use enough people to control it at every step.
Grand pianos usually need the legs and pedal lyre removed and the body moved on its side. Tell us the make and model if you know it.
